Powerful Partnerships

The Powerful Partnerships webinar will present two case studies in the development and execution of successful partnerships. The presentation will focus on two partnerships: The PaperBoats
An artistic partnership between Adelaide, South Australia and Austin, Texas. This international partnership platform pioneers new ways of “connecting and creating” in the process of devising poetic visual theatre works for children, and has led thus far to two theatrical works-in-progress. The Austin side of the partnership will be represented by Megan Alrutz of UT Austin (Head of Drama and Theatre for Youth and Communities), and Adelaide will be represented by Dave Brown (formerly the artistic director of Patch Theatre Company for 30 years).Seattle Children’s Theatre
Their 20-year partnership with the Pacific Science Center to offer summer day camps. One of the titles, Potions, has been SCT’s most popular camp offering during all of that time. This partnership has served as a model for similar partnership camps with Woodland Park Zoo, The Museum of Flight, The Seattle Aquarium and many other arts and cultural organizations over the years. Don Fleming (SCT Education Director) and Joanna Barnebey (SCT Education Finance and Operations Manager) will walk participants through the nuts-and-bolts of this enduring and dynamic partnership.
