Year-long Teaching Artist Fellowship

Compensation

$600/week

The Rose Fellows will co-teach and lead teach drama classes (ages 3-18), teach middle school after-school program, participate in productions, co-direct a Teens ‘N’ Theater or Youth Production, perform in one/two theater-in-education productions, lead in-school drama workshops to teach curriculum, work with an arts administration team, receive one on one mentorship from theater professionals, attend workshops in lesson planning, teaching, theater for social change, accessibility, resume building, acting and more.

WHEN: August – May (40-45 hours per week, 5 days per week). Applications open in December for each upcoming term. Priority is given to applicants who submit their materials by January 19th of the summer/year for which they are applying.

WHO: Individuals with degrees or commensurate experience in professional theater, education, creative writing or related fields. Candidates should have an interest in educational theater. All fellows will be asked to work as teachers and actors.

COMPENSATION: $600/week. Housing is provided via a paycheck deduction of $500 per month.
