Visiting Assistant Professor, Theatre

$50,000-$57,000

The University of Central Florida (UCF) School of Performing Arts is seeking a 9-month, visiting renewable, non-tenure earning assistant professor in the Theatre Department with a specialty in Theatre for Young Audiences with an anticipated start date in August 2025.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Running the Gould Traveling Theatre and teaching one class associated with that, plus four additional classes annually.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Theatre or related field from an accredited institution.
• One year teaching experience in a university setting, graduate assistantships are acceptable to fulfill this requirement.
• Experience in Theatre for Young Audiences field

Preferred Qualifications:

• MFA in Theatre for Young Audiences or related field from an accredited institution.
• Three years of college teaching experience or professional theatre experience with teaching components.
• Experience with applied theatre, including: Intergenerational experiences, Experience creating theatre with vulnerable populations, and Experience with devised theatre
• Experience with touring productions.
• Experience pursuing and managing grants.
