Compensation

$560 per week

A few highlights about our fellowship program :

  • Fellows act in theater in education tour and contribute to professional mainstage season
  • Fellows have opportunity to work with ages 3-18 in wide variety of theater classes.
  • Fellows are paired with experienced teaching artists for mentorship and training.

  • Alumni have gone on to be education directors, high school theater teachers, PreK specialist, drama therapists, teaching artists, professors and more. Many of our current full-time staff are former interns and fellows.
  • 12 Paid Vacation Days Plus Theater Closed for Holiday Breaks

Who?

Individuals with degrees or commensurate experience in acting, musical theater, education, directing, creative writing or related field. Candidates should have an interest in educational theater. All fellows must be able to work as teachers and actors.

What would I do?

  • Fellows will co-teach and lead teach drama classes (ages 3-18)
  • Teach after-school programs for middle school students
  • Participate in one/two professional productions
  • Co-direct a Teens ā€˜Nā€™ Theater or youth production
  • Perform in one/two theater-in-education productions
  • Lead school workshops using drama to teach curriculum
  • Work with an arts administration team
  • Receive one on one mentorship from theater professionals
  • Attend workshops in lesson planning, teaching, theater for social change, accessibility, resume building, acting and more.

How much?

$560/week. Housing is provided via a paycheck deduction of $500 per month.

When :

08/19/2024 to 05/10/2025 (a subsequent yearlong contract available to those who successfully complete the fellowship)
