Summer Theater Education Internship

Compensation

$480 per week

A few highlights about our internship and fellowship program :

• Interns have opportunity to work with ages 3-18 in wide variety of theater classes.
• Interns are paired with experienced teaching artists for mentorship and training.
• Internship provides ongoing professional development.
• Alumni have gone on to be education directors, high school theater teachers, PreK specialist, drama therapists, teaching artists, professors and more. Many of our current full-time staff are former interns and fellows.

Who?

High school graduates studying or pursuing acting, musical theater, education, directing, creative writing or related fields who are interested in educational theater. All interns must be able to work as teachers.

What would I do?

• Can assist with directing youth theater production camps (ages 6-18)
• Will assist with teaching week-long creative drama camps (ages 3-18)
• Will supervise before camp and after camp childcare
• Will attend professional development in lesson planning, classroom management, resume building, and more.

How much?

$480/week. Housing is provided via a paycheck deduction of $500 per month.

Contract period: 05/20/2024 to 08/02/2024
