The Rose Theater seeks an Education Director who is an enthusiastic leader dedicated to bettering the community they serve. The Education Director oversees a staff of twelve full-time teaching artists and additional contract teachers to deliver vital programs. Education work includes the Every Single Child Program, which reaches 36,000 students with a meaningful theatrical learning experience every year from K-6th grade. Title I schools participate at no cost. The Education Director also guides curriculum infusion, youth productions, Teens ‘n’ Theater devising troupes, PreK Enrichment, educational touring shows, and out-of-school hours classes and camps. Outreach programming also currently partners with six human service organizations to deliver dynamic, boundary shifting theater education, including with justice-involved youth. The ideal candidate will also contribute creatively as an artistic company member to our mainstage and theater for the very young professional productions. The Rose is committed to reflecting the diversity of our community and enriching our insights into how best to serve our city’s young people and families.
