The Database & IT Associate provides front-line support to Imagination Stage staff in the maintenance and use of various databases and software, including but not limited to Tessitura and mail2. Additionally, the Database & IT Associate assists the Database Manager and the Facilities Manager in supporting staff with basic IT support needs for both hardware and software systems. This is a full time, salaried position. Typical hours will be 9-5, Monday-Friday, although occasional evening or weekend hours may be required.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
DATABASE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with running daily & monthly integrity checks of Tessitura
- Assist with overall database cleanup/integrity of Tessitura
- Handle fundamental Tessitura and mail2 troubleshooting questions, which may entail extended amounts of time on the phone with Tech Support
- Able to quickly build fundamental Lists, Extractions and Reports in Tessitura
- Able to quickly build basic Pages and Performances in TNEW
- Able to quickly build basic Dashboards and T-Stats
- Working knowledge of Campaigns, Appeals, Actions, Exports, Batches, Gifts, Memberships and Registrations
- Assist with creating Tessitura Practices and Procedures documentation
- Assist with Tessitura Staff Training when needed
IT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle fundamental Computer and Printer troubleshooting (PC and Mac)
- Assist with Computer Setup
- Assist with internet related troubleshooting
- Responsible for creating new Google Users – User Names, Passwords, creating tickets
- Run integrity checks and backups on Building System’s computers and Servers
- Serve as point of contact with our remote IT administration team, Tech Impact
- Create support tickets with Tech Impact for larger IT issues
- Assist with basic IT related trainings
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working consistently with Tessitura
- Prior experience providing IT support in a professional setting
- Superior Excel skills
- Proficient with Google Suite
- Proficient on both PC and Mac
- Basic knowledge of HTML & CSS
- Strong communication skills to translate technical information to staff members who do not have a tech background
- Ability to communicate clearly using appropriate terminology to interact with Tessitura support team, Tech Impact, and offsite Database Manager
- Patient and flexible in approaching work, with strong creative problem-solving skills
- Works well under deadlines, calm under pressure
- Able to work methodically and independently
- Experience working in a non-profit/arts organization desirable
