Volunteer
TYA/USA offers members the opportunity to volunteer by serving on TYA/USA Task Forces.
Task Forces support the TYA/USA staff and board in envisioning and executing a variety of activities of the organization. They are comprised of a mix of board and member leadership.
Positions are open on the following TYA/USA Task Forces:
- Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Task Force
- Festival & Conference Task Force
- TYA/USA Fellowships Task Force
- TYA/USA National Awards Task Force
- TYA Today Magazine Task Force
- Fundraising and Sponsorship Task Force
We are seeking TYA practitioners representing the diversity of the field – artists, administrators, educators, and students. Task Force members are expected to participate in at least (2) phone calls a year and offer some independent work and support for a range of activities as available. As a member-driven organization, it is important to us that TYA/USA members play an active role in the direction and leadership of the organization.
TYA/USA is committed to representing the full diversity of the field within the TYA/USA Task Forces. To that end, individuals of all races, ethnic backgrounds, gender identities, sexual orientations, abilities (including people with disabilities who may require special accommodation), and ages (21+) are strongly encouraged to submit.
Deadline December 1, 2019
Candidates will be contacted for follow up conversations and interviews. While we will not be able to include all individuals who submit, we hope to welcome several TYA/USA members on to Task Forces in 2020.
